If you look at how trials was back a few years ago, then you would notice quiet a big change. Trials is going threw a change. Ryan Leech and Jeff Lenosky and those other intense riders mix trials with street creating a very interesting combination. Some of the older methods are being replaced with new ones; making tricks more easier to complete.
We know that trials is evolving in style, but is it evolving in exposure? Well I see trials more on tv then I did last year. Im very pleased with that, but it is still disappointing when you see pretty much every type of riding EXCEPT trials. I don't understand how such an extreme sport can be left in the shadow. Trials isn't just a sport is an ART FORM. It's hard and takes a bit of problem solving. For example, pretend you have a square box in front of you thats about five feet up and five feet wide. There is also three boxes in front of it lined up sideways to the box about three feet high and three feet wide and are about one foot from each other. Now how are you going to get over the boxes. You can't ride around them, so you need to figure how you are going to her over them; therefore, you are now solving a problem.
Ok ok it isn't math or some scientific calculation, but it isn't just ride and go, and it doesn't take a smart guy to figure it out either. I just feel that riders should be treated with more respect and to have more exposure on tv and to people. Trials riders work just as hard as any other riders that MTB or BMX. I feel that trials will once get its chance to have its exposure and to become one of the most enjoyed/watched sports on tv. It just needs a chance, just one chance.
